Our Activities

We engage in the following activities:

• Provision of consultancy services in health-related areas.

• Stimulation of multidisciplinary health-related research;

• Promotion of education and training programmes in medicine therapy;

• Organisation of scientific meetings, symposia, lectures and workshops for healthcare professionals and the general public;

• Establishment and maintenance of appropriate links with national and international organisations;

• Promotion of interchange of information on medicine use and development;

• Provision of training to members and other young researchers;

• Publication of journal and other materials relevant to the objectives of Pharmacotherapy Group.

Since its inception, Pharmacotherapy Group has

• established an international journal – Tropical Journal of Pharmaceutical Research which is an online journal available at http://www.tjpr.org.

• Offered consultancy services to pharmaceutical manufacturers including

  • DOL-MED Laboratory Nigeria Ltd, Agu-Akwa, Anambra State – for bioavailability and bioequivalence studies.

  • Health Forever products Ltd, Lagos – development of Jubi-Formula.

  • Women’s Health and Action Research Centre - A survey of alternative providers of post-abortion services in Edo State, Nigeria.
